North American consumers have enjoyed our Paysanne brand of premium hydroponic produce since 1976.
Burt Clifford started Clifford Produce in 1929 as one of Southwestern Ontario's original produce suppliers. In the early days, Burt distributed field produce that included onions, potatoes, carrots and tomatoes.
When Burt retired in 1976, 10 local growers came together to purchase the business, keeping its name as a tribute to his success. The new owners became the first generation of greenhouse growers, adding greenhouse produce to field produce to acquire the benefits of year-round production.
Today, the second generation of greenhouse growers continues the Clifford Produce tradition of providing quality produce with exceptional service.
